Module Working Principle:

  • Pull the Trig Pin to a High Level for More Than 10us Impulse and the Module Start Ranging.
  • The Module Sends Eight 40KHz Square Wave to Detect Whether a Signal is Returned Automatically.
  • Finished Ranging, If Find an Object in the Front, Echo Pin will be High Level; Different Distance, Different Duration of High Level.
  • The distance between the unit and the object is calculated by measuring the traveling time of sound and outputting it as the width of a TTL pulse, which is calculated by L = 1/2 × T × C (L is the distance, T is the time between the emission and reception, and C is the sonic speed).
  • The Distance = (Duration of High Level*Sonic: 340m/s) /2.

 

Important Operation Note:

1. Before Powered, HC-SR04R Sensor Module Should be Inserted in the Circuit to Avoid Producing High Level of Misoperate ; if Misoperate, Power the Module Again.

2. HC-SR04 Ultrasonic Distance Sensor is NOT Suggested to Connect to Electric Directly, When Connected to Electric, the GND Terminal Should be Connected w/ Sensor Module, Otherwise, it will affect the Module’s Normal Work.

3. When Tested Objects, the Area Range Should be More than 0.5 Square Meters and the Plane Requests Smoothly; Otherwise, it will Affect the Results of Measuring.
